Edward Fernandez is a venture partner at Mobility Ventures.
Edward is a 14-year wireless industry executive with strong
entrepreneurial instincts and solid operational experiences.
He was with Nokia Mobile Phones for over a decade serving as
founder and President of Nokia do Brasil Ltda, based in São
Paulo, Brazil responsible for establishing Nokia’s presence
in Brazil. He led an organization of over 100 to go from 3%
market share to over 60%, with P&L responsibility for over
US$600 million in yearly sales revenues. He had previously served
as Nokia’s Director of Sales for Latin America responsible
for all business development and channel sales activities in
Central and South America. He developed and implemented sales
strategies and Marketing plans that lead the company to market
leadership in the region.
Prior to Nokia, he held executive positions with A&A Connections
Inc., responsible for all Latin America sales activities and
was the founder
of Northeastern Telecom based in New Jersey.
Edward is a graduate of Rutgers University, with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Business Marketing. Edward is fluent in
English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
